Lily, formerly known as Callalily, is holding a national audition in their quest to find a new singer to front their band on stage. It is set to happen on June 7, at The 70’s
Bistro in Anonas, Quezon City, and July 17, at the Ayala Event Center in Cebu City. The new lead singer must be 22 to 27 years old, must be oozing with confidence, must have stage presence, must have audience appeal, and should not be managed by any managing individual or company, among others.
After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the award-winning iconic OPM band, composed of mainstays Nathan Reyes, Lem Belaro, and Aaron Ricafrente, including notable member Alden Acosta, who parted ways with Callalily in 2010 but reunited with his music and recently came back as a member, to regain their presence in the music scene together with their new vocals and further amplify the unique Filipino music by creating a legacy of their own.
“We’re looking for a new singer to front the band on the stage, and together, we will share a new set of interesting stories and experiences through our music,” says
Alden, the band guitarist. “Ever since we started, we’ve wanted to echo our audience’s feelings and emotions. And that is what we’re going to continue.” The band entered the local music scene in 2005 with their songs “Magbalik,” “Stars,” and “Pasan,” all from their debut album titled Destination XYZ. Callalily is also the pop rock band behind hit songs “Pansamantala,” “Ex,” and more. Interested applicants may register via Lx2 Entertainment’s official website at www.lx2entertainment.com.
