Jamie Miller joins on a soundtrack of a Korean TV series, Snowdrop
Meteorically rising international pop singer/songwriter, Jamie Miller joins on a soundtrack of a primetime Korean TV series Snowdrop, starring Jung Hae In (“D.P.”, “Something In The Rain) and Jisoo from BLACKPINK. The single ‘Wishes (Snowdrop OST)’ was released on January 15th.
Currently being one of the highest rated Korean TV series at the moment, Snowdrop (produced by JTBC Studios and Dram House) covers a romantic relationship between Young-ro (Jisoo), a female South Korean university student, and Su-ho (Jung Hae In), a North Korean spy, before the 1987 presidential election. The series is also the first ever Korean drama project since Disney Plus’s launch in Korea, being presented as a Disney Plus original outside of Korea.
Played first at the episode 7, Jamie Miller’s ‘Wishes’ describes and captures the chemistry of the main characters of the show, talking about one’s pain when loving someone in an unintended tough relationship. The track is also written by a Korean singer-songwriter J.UNA (“Butterfly” Nevertheless OST).
Born and raised in Wales, Jamie Miller is currently rising quickly in the global music scene, especially wish his viral hit single, “Here’s Your Perfect,” spending a lengthy 13 weeks on the Billboard Global Ex-US chart and has amassed over 280 million global streams and 76 million video views. The track has also basked in critical acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone, declaring the track to be “a plinking piano ballad that swells quickly to arena size” and further predicting “it’s possible that the song will be performed in arenas before long.” Meanwhile, recent months have seen Miller collaborate with singer and “Here’s Your Perfect” co-writer Salem Ilese for a stunning duet version of the song, in addition to DJ/producer Alan Walker for the infectious breakup anthem “Running Out Of Roses” which debuted at #32 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Charts
