Truly Nice to Meet You: ForceBook 1st Fan Meeting in Manila
Right at the height of their current series, Only Friends, Wish Us Luck Entertainment brought the undeniably adorkable couple ForceBook to spend a day with the Tomafoxes in the Philippines!
Making their mark in the BL world with their hit series Enchanté, followed by the much-beloved A Boss and A Babe, and now starring in the thrillingly messy Only Friends, the ever-brooding but soft-hearted Force Jiratchapong and cute but commanding Book Kasidet, known as ForceBook, treated fans to a day filled with beloved theme songs, games, and up-close-and-personal fan perks.
More Than Just Friends
Right as they walked onto the stage to meet the press, Force and Book were evidently excited to meet their Filipino fans for the first time – with unending waves and smiles as they sat down to answer some questions.
Right off the bat, Book could not contain his excitement to share some secrets when asked about the kind of roles they look forward to doing. He expressed his interest in doing even more comedy-centric roles, but ultimately advised everyone to stay tuned to GMMTV for updates on their next possible projects. Force added that they are always looking towards being challenged as actors and that fans can always forward to something new from ForceBook.
With ForceBook being friends for over 16 years, they were asked about how they were able to keep a strong bond throughout the years – to which Book shared that it’s always about being open and communicating with each other. Communication has always been the secret to their strong bond.
When Philippine Concerts asked about the most valuable lesson they’ve learned from each other, Book reiterated that communication was the key to their friendship – and that he’s learned that it’s important to always talk to each other and understand one another’s side to the story. Answering the same question, Force said that he’s also learned to always try to understand the other person, and to understand that he and Book will have their differences at times.
Lucky To Have You By My Side
As the timer counted down inside a hype-filled Skydome, ForceBook stepped out and opened the show with “My Luck (มีเธอนี่แหละดี)” – the theme to their office-romance series, A Boss and A Babe. Tomafoxes all sang along with the duo, showing the unbeatable Philippine energy. Force and Book could not stop praising the energy they’re experiencing in the Philippines.
Following the cutest opening number anyone could ever witness, Force and Book played a game of “Fox or Tomato” where they both had a chance to pick from two different scenarios. The game showed how in sync they truly are, as they both chose to work with a group over working independently, pausing time over fast-forwarding to the future, and going on an amusement park date over a quiet picnic date.
They still had their difference, though, with Force choosing unlimited coffee whereas Book chose unlimited snacks. On the question of giving or receiving hugs, Force chose receiving hugs while Book chose giving hugs – with an addition of a surprise hug to an evidently startled Force.
The show continued with a back-to-back solo performance, with songs from another beloved BL series, 2gether. Force took the stage first to serenade fans with “Gan Koo (คั่นกู)”, followed by Book’s rendition of “Still Together (ยังคู่กัน)”. Both showed that they truly knew their way around a good ballad.
As they returned to the stage, they played even more games like “Figure Me Out”, in which they both had to be blindfolded and guess the item using their cheeks. Fans went crazy as the pair’s faces got closer to each other – and the stagehands pulled the items away to make for an adorable moment between the two. Book ended up losing the game and had to mimic emojis on screen as punishment – but a definite treat to fans to see Book in his most adorable poses.
The final game was called “Guess The Role” where Force and Book had to act out lines from different roles picked from a box. Force did his take on Book’s characters Mew from Only Friends, and Cher from A Boss and a Babe, while Book returned the favor by doing Force’s characters of Top and Boss Gun from the same series respectively. The game ended with a tie, the pair having guessed all roles correctly.
A Force That Drives Us To Write Beautiful Chapters In Our Book of Life
As the fan meet came to a close, Force and Book returned to the stage, now seated close to the Tomafoxes to watch a special video prepared for them – with messages of love and support from their biggest fans. Everyone cheered on as the gifts from fans were handed to ForceBook, and even sang an energetic birthday song to Book who will celebrate another year around the sun on October 25th.
Before bidding their fans goodbye, Force and Book treated everyone to one last serenade – singing Hook (เพลงรัก) from the series My School President. The pair even brought their performance down from the stage to sing right next to their beloved Tomafoxes.
Of course, the fan meeting can’t end without the fan benefits. ForceBook then stepped out for the group photos and hi-touch looking their best in their barongs and sharing an unforgettable moment with everyone in the dome – surely an experience they’ll both want to come back to.
