Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas: 12 Years and Still Grooving
Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas celebrates 12 years with a day filled with music, talks, and the release of their new single “Iba Talaga,” happening on November 16, 2024, Saturday at 123 Block in Mandala Park, Mandaluyong City.
The anniversary celebration features two parts. The first part of the program is a series of talks with the band members’ guest speaker, Ethan Santos, trombone player of British acid jazz band, Incognito. The talks will explore topics such as ensemble playing and how musicians collaborate and understand the roles of every instrument, jazz improvisation, and tips on creating music on the spot.
The second part of the program is a festival of music featuring Filipino musicians barb., Shanne Dandan, Kindred and Jensen and the Flips to celebrate the release of the Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas’ newest single “Iba Talaga.” It will be released on all digital music streaming platforms on November 15.
“The song is largely inspired by ‘80s tunes, like those from Hall & Oates, and Lanca Perfume by Rita Lee,” shares composer, vocalist Mike Luis.
