I personally like her song Not Enough from Goodbye Lullabye. First, it somehow gives an image to the dark human soul that and when there are just some things that couldn’t be fulfilled however much the wants and needs are satisfied.
Secondly, the song also gives lead to thoughts that there are many more things left unknown as the singer/writer/speaker/personna of the song could’ve maybe said what else he/she needed to make things “enough”, but then, one has got to think that maybe he/she already said what she/he needed and wanted as could be seen in the lyrics of the chorus, but still there’s something missing. It sort of shows us that the human soul needs and yearns for so much more than material things and whatever else that is usually done to appease a person.
Keep holding on. I can relate to the lyrics.
