KS4GG’s NCT 127, SEVENTEEN After-Parties Raise 71k for Angat Buhay Projects
K-Pop Stans 4 Good Governance (KS4GG) has raised more than P71,000 to support Angat Buhay’s projects for indigenous peoples.
“This was KS4GG’s initiative to let the Filipino K-pop fans know that what we formed—hopes, aspirations, camaraderie, and community—did not stop after the elections. We are in the fight for a better future with our fellow citizens. How we do that is rooted in where we come from as fans: we do it with the music playing,” says Cha, a KS4GG admin.
Funds will be divided equally for two projects. First, for a community of 50 Aeta schoolchildren in Pampanga who need support for tutorial services, snacks, and school supplies. Second, for the educational needs of a Dumagat community in Daraitan, Rizal.
Formerly known as K-Pop Stans 4 Leni, KS4GG is a volunteer organization advocating for empowered citizenship through Korean pop culture. On September 4, the group hosted an after party for NCT 127 Neo City: The Link in Manila, raising P26,000 for donations.
“It’s something that has not been done before and KS4GG is proud to say that we are probably
the first one to host a K-pop concert after party in the country,” shared Zee, an admin of KS4GG.
After-parties were also held for both days of Seventeen’s Be The Sun Manila concerts on October 8 and 9, adding P45,000 more to the donation pot.
