Love Next Door Coming to Netflix this August

Jung So Min and Jung Hae In leading an upcoming South Korean K-drama Love Next Door. Netflix Philippines released Monday a trailer showing Seok-ryu [Jung So Min character] frequently receiving scolding from her mother, with Seung-hyo [Jung Hae In] present in those scenes.

While So-min has starred in hit television shows like “Alchemy of Souls,” “Soul Mechanic,” “The Smile Has Left Your Eyes,” and “Because This Is My First Life,” Hae-in is well-known for his endearing roles in dramas like “While You Were Sleeping,” “One Spring Night,” “A Piece of Your Mind,” and “Something in the Rain.”

Love Next Door follows the story of Choi Seung-hyo and Bae Seok-ryu, childhood friends who are fully aware of each other’s pasts. The plot revolves around Bae Seok-ryu (Jung So-min), who seeks a new beginning in life following a string of failures. Her character will cross paths with Choi Seung-hyo (Jung Hae-in), a celebrated young architect in Korea, who happens to be the son of her mom’s close friend. Haunted by awkward childhood memories due to their mothers’ friendship, will sparks fly when they meet again as adults, or will old memories get in the way?

The show’s ensemble cast also includes Park Ji Young, Jo Han Cheol, Jang Young Nam, Lee Seung Jun, Kim Geum Soon, Han Ye Ju, Jeon Seok Ho, Lee Seung Hyeop, Shim So Young, and others, in addition to Jung Hae In and Jung So Min.

The show, created and directed by Shin Ha Eun and Yoo Je Won, will debut on the South Korean network tvN every Saturday and Sunday starting on August 17, 2024. In some areas, the program will also be available for streaming on Netflix.
