Steadily but surely, K-pop concerts are beginning to find refuge in our shores. Now that the Hallyu wave has been continuously spreading, more and more people are enamored with keeping up with the latest K-pop acts. Fortunately enough, the Philippines will again get to experience another K-pop concert that in a few weeks.

Now, another golden opportunity presents itself as KPOP Republic happens on September 7 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Headlined by 3 prominent K-pop acts, SHINee, EXO-K and Dal★Shabet, the concert is set to blow fans away with the innovative set production as they perform their hits along with their incredible dance choreography live.

Dal★Shabet, a six-piece female K-pop group, is relatively garnering attention with their provocative but cute image. The group’s name translates to “sweet sorbet”, a title which the girls embody. Their popular songs include “Supa Duva Diva”, “Bling Bling”, “Hit U” and “Be Ambitious”.

EXO-K, who made their official debut in April 2012, is a boy band that is on the rise as one of the hottest K-pop acts today. Their most recent hits, “Wolf” and “Growl”, had topped the charts in different Korean television networks. Known for their intricate dance productions along with their diverse vocal range, the group is set to perform in Manila for the second time. They were part of the Dream K-pop Fantasy Concert last January.

And of course SHINee, one of the most influential names in K-pop, will be taking on the Manila stage. Composed of Onew, Minho, Key, Jonghyun and Taemin, the boys have been trendsetters not only in the field of music, but also in fashion and dance. Ever since their debut in 2008, they have been topping various charts, promoting popular brands and winning all sorts of awards across Asia. They are behind he hits “Replay”, “Lucifer”, “Juliette” and “Why So Serious?”
