P-Pop Rising: Watsons Playlist Brings Together P-Pop Acts on One Concert Stage

Another Sunday spectacle was witnessed by thousands of P-POP fans, as Watsons Playlist: The P-POP Power Concert happened last August 18, 2024, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

More than just a music show, the global health and beauty chain store Watsons kept the crowd entertained early on by having game segments with prizes from sponsor brands, led by celebrity hosts Ai Dela Cruz and Sabrina San Diego. They also introduced “Watsy”, the store’s mascot on stage.

Performing prior to the main artists, MLD’s newest PPOP boy group NEW:ID exuded energy early on with their tracks “Ghost” and “Deja Vu”.

Afterward, Magiliw cheers echoed throughout the venue, as multi-cultural group Alamat brought back-to-back performances of their hits “Kasmala”, “Day& Night”, “Say U Love Me”, “Dayang” and “Maharani”.
With an ethereal intro, PPOP Female Alphas G22 charmed the crowd with their stunning looks and versatility, as they sang their heart-warming rendition of “Musika” and danced to “I Hate Boys”, “Bang” and “One Sided Love”.

Meanwhile, KAIA said it’s “my time”, captivating their fans, collectively named ZAIA and eventgoers with fresh takes to their original songs “Dalawa”, “You Did It”, “5678”, “Turn Up” and “Kaya”. They left the stage with an announcement flashed on the screen for a new single “Walang Biruan”, with the date 9.13.

The unceasing energy continued, as KAIA and G22 united on stage for an electrifying collaboration performance of “Blah blah” and “Boomerang”.

Wearing preppy outfits, Hori7on appeared next on stage as they sang “Sumayaw Sumunod”, “Lovey Dovey”, “Meteor”, “Dash” and “Six7een”. Anchors were also delighted, as the group announced a solo concert in the same venue this November 3, 2024.

Headlining the show is last but not least, the PPOP super group SB19, opening their set with the enigmatic “Mana”. Recalling how they started, the quintet also performed their debut single “Tilaluha”, then back to their current success with esteemed rapper Gloc-9 for the collaboration song “Kalakal”. Their set concluded with their PAGTATAG! main track, “Gento”.

For their collaboration stage, everybody got awestruck, as SB19, Hori7on, and Alamat joined forces to perform their songs “Meteor”, “Bazinga” and “Dagundong”.

The momentous event commenced with the patriotic track “What?”, as all the groups reappeared on stage and thanked the eventgoers. This is an exclusive event for Watsons PH app members.
