Ask any heavy metal fan who isn’t brain dead (yet) from all that headbanging and chaos, and chances are, they’ll be quick to share and agree that Ukranian modern prog-metallers JINJER are among the esteemed few leading the charge for the brutal subgenre for the past decade.

Technical grooves, brutal growls, and soaring melodic vocals have put the band in the esteemed position of being one of the most acclaimed by both fans and critics. Still, it’s also their unmistakable knack for tackling realistically dark themes and converting them into epic crowd anthems and music videos that have earned the respect of audiences worldwide and even their peers.

Led by both enchanting and empowering vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk, the band – rounded out by guitarist Roman Ibramkhalilov, bassist Eugene Abdukhanov, and drummer Vladislav “Vladi” Ulasevich – has garnered millions of cross-platform streams and views worldwide, climbing the ladder to success since their official formation in 2009, with an intense touring ethic (supporting heavyweights in the game like ARCH ENEMY and CRADLE OF FILTH) and a no-guts-no-glory attitude when it came to refining and releasing what would be hailed as vintage Jinjer tunes, which were riddled with various styles outside the genre including funk, soul, R&B, jazz and even reggae – which was even hard to ignore by their peers.

The band’s 2017 single “Pisces” is their biggest to date, with its live video performance currently 88 million views. Recently, the band released “Someone’s Daughter,” and have just announced that their long-awaited fifth studio album Duél is set to be released next year, February 7th, 2025, fired-up with the release of the musically dizzying and wonderfully technical single “Kafka,” which can be heard now on all online music platforms and streaming sites.

Of course, the best news of all is that the band WILL be returning to Manila, which is a heavy metal delight to its legion of supporters and friends. It has been a crazy six years since the band was last here (as part of PULP Summer Slam XVIII: Of Good and Evil…) and fans rejoiced when it was announced that they would return to headline their very own show, JINJER ASIAN TOUR 2025 IN MANILA happening February 18th, 2025 at the Skydome, SM North EDSA.
